HYPEWRITER 2022: THE WINNER IS ANNOUNCED

Hypewriter, the leading fiction concept pitch forum founded in 2018 by Paprika Studios and RTL, was held for the fourth time in Budapest in 2022. The international jury chose the best of the nine presented ideas from among the 300 previously submitted. The award winning project is the Unfortunate Rise and Fall of a County Boy by Renátó Olasz. At the event, the first full-length episode of Katalin Besenyei's Angel’s Trumpets (winner of Hypewriter in 2021) was presented – that was directed by Ildikó Enyedi (director of Oscar-nominated and Golden Bear-winner On Body and Soul).

The winning concept received a grand prize of 10,000 euros, as well as the opportunity to make a professionally produced pilot, which can later evolve into a full tv series and broadcasted by RTL. Hypewriter's special prize, a participation at the Black Nights Tallinn Film Festival's TV Beats Co-production Market went to Minervas by Suzana Kokalj.
